Kleen Blast Abrasives is a premier provider of sandblasting equipment and related products. With a full network of stocked warehouses along the West Coast and our own fleet of delivery trucks, we can deliver custom-packaged special equipment right to your site.

We offer the following special application equipment:

Blast and Recovery Systems

Blast Recovery Systems (BRS) from Kleen Blast allow users to conduct abrasive blasting operations in locations where open-air blasting is not an option. Our BRS and BRS II machines utilize reusable blast media, which is simultaneously recovered as blasting operations occur. Internal filters separate the blast media from any dust or debris that may be incidentally recovered. Blasting and recovery can also be performed separately if the situation demands.

Portable Blast and Vacuum Systems

Comet Portable Suction Blast and Vacuum System provide similar functions to our industrial BRS equipment, but in a movable, compact, wheeled version that weighs about 250 pounds. With more than 20 feet of recovery hose, operators can move easily around the worksite without having to move the machine. Other features of this machine include:

  • Built-in moisture separator and 14 cotton sateen tubular filters ensure that recovered blast media is clean and ready for reuse
  • Built-in pressure gauge and regulator
  • Cleans a one-inch path at 36 inches per minute
  • Uses 47 cfm of air at 80 psi

Desiccant Tablets

Desiccants are widely utilized in industrial applications as a means to control moisture levels. In abrasive blasting operations, desiccants keep moisture out of the compressed air lines and equipment, mitigating the harmful effects of moisture on hoses, machinery components, or blast media.

At Kleen Blast, we offer Dry-O-Lite Desiccant Tablets from Van Air, which safely dissolve as they eliminate moisture. Other features of these tablets include:

  • No energy consumption
  • Prevents condensation
  • Safe for indoor or outdoor use
  • Keeps air/gas lines from freezing
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Cost-effective compared to refrigerated dryers or regenerative desiccant dryers
  • No drying equipment maintenance
  • Available in 50 lb. bags and pails, 506 lb. steel drums, or 2,000 lb. bulk

Power Guns

Clemco Power Guns are specially designed suction-blast tools intended for use in smaller dry abrasive blasting applications or projects with limited air supply. They’re lightweight and compact, making them ideal in scenarios where setting up conventional pressure blast machines would be impractical or impossible, such as on scaffolds, on small touch-up jobs, on ships, and more.

The Power Gun is compatible with all common fine blast media. An optional heavy-duty plastic hopper is available as well, which holds an ample media supply, or a hose can simply be submerged into a bag of media.

Suction Guns

Clemco’s suction gun is a light-duty, suction-type blast unit. Ideal for situations with a limited air supply, this inexpensive and easy-to-use gun provides sufficient abrasive blasting for small projects. The suction gun is ideal for:

  • Maintenance touch-up
  • Burr removal
  • Tool mark removal
  • Paint removal from soft materials (aluminum, fiberglass)

Wet Blasters

Wet blasters mix abrasives with water and compressed air, creating slurry that provides an effective mechanical surface treatment for many applications, such as cleaning structural steel. The Clemco Wetblast Injector works with any source of clean water and the proprietary 10:1 pump can handle two nozzles with independent controls when an optional nozzle adapter is applied. Water pressures are easily adjustable by the operator via the control box, which contains a built-in regulator and a pressure gauge.
